From the favelas of Brazil to the international stage, Coach Israel Kami is living proof of the power of soccer to transform lives.​

Israel Kami de Sousa Pereira, professionally known as Israel Kami, is a Brazilian-American professional soccer player, international coach, and entrepreneur with over 14 years of professional playing experience across multiple countries and continents.

​

Throughout his career, Kami has competed across multiple football disciplines, including professional soccer, futsal, beach soccer, footvolley, and international small-sided football competitions. His versatility and experience across different forms of the game have shaped his unique approach to player development, combining Brazilian creativity, technical excellence, adaptability, and a deep understanding of the game.

​

He has also proudly represented Brazil as captain of the Brazilian National Team at the Socca 6v6 World Cup, bringing valuable international experience, leadership, and a global perspective to his coaching career.

​

With over 10 years of coaching experience, Kami has worked with athletes of different ages, backgrounds, and competitive levels in the United States and internationally. Fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, he connects with players from diverse cultures and brings an international perspective to his coaching.

​

Kami is also the founder and owner of K10 Soccer Training, a player development and career pathway organization dedicated to helping athletes maximize their potential. Through K10, he provides technical training, performance development, and guidance toward college soccer opportunities and professional playing careers in the United States and abroad.

 

But for Coach Kami, soccer has always been about something greater than the game itself. Having grown up in the favelas of Brazil, he understands firsthand how soccer can create opportunities and change the direction of a young person’s life. The sport helped transform his own journey, and today, through K10’s community initiatives and social projects in Brazil, he is committed to creating those same opportunities for the next generation.

His coaching philosophy goes beyond developing technical skills and tactical understanding. Kami places a strong emphasis on building confidence, resilience, discipline, and a positive mindset. Drawing from his extensive experience as a professional athlete, he strives to be both a coach and a mentor, helping young players believe in themselves, overcome challenges, and develop the character needed to succeed on and off the field.
